On the Road Again

So it is good to be on a smooth road again.  Ada successfully weened off the prednisone 2 weeks ago and has stayed protein free.  I expect she will relapse again, I hope she won't, and we will be grateful for each day, week, month, and year? we are granted.

Wishing you all a good Holiday Season and longer time between relapses (100+ years :) )

I was searching the Internet trying to find kids who had outgrown ns. We have been dealing with this almost a year now. My daughter was diagnosed just before her third birthday. That's great she went a whole year with no spill. My daughter has spilled 6 times this year....just started our third round of pred. Praying shell stay neg from here on. We are starting a gf, df, and soy free diet. It your daughter on any special diet?

I don't think you hear much about people who have outgrown ns, you just stop hearing from them because they have been lucky enough to move on. We are just finishing up 5 years now. The first couple were the roughest with the most relapses.

As for special diets, we haven't changed much except we have reduced salt intake by about half (including hidden sodium. I hadn't thought about looking into dietary triggers, although she has been able to go up to a year without a relapse, so I'm guessing it's not diet - but who knows.
