I created this blog when my 6 year old daughter was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome (NS). As an uncommon and difficult to understand condition I wanted a journal, along with a way to let family know how she was doing, and a way to connect with others experiencing the same thing. This blog chronicals the events, emotions, and more she and we as a family went through. The initial episode begins in March 2008. On the side are pictures as well as links to sites I found helpful.

Cruise Control
It's hard to believe, but in a couple of weeks we will reach our 6 month mark. 6 months since she went off cytoxan, 6 months since she has taken any prednisone, and 6 months without her kidneys spilling proteins. All this in spite of colds and allergies (the usual suspected triggers.) We have much to be greatful for.

Yeah!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling. to walk out the door in the morning and not have to worry if you forgot their med. or making sure your home in time to give it to them at night. I love it, and hope and pray for a loooong remission for both our kids.
What a wonderful Christmas, New Year & Easter gift.
Our prayers are still with you.
Gray & Wendi :)
Fingers crossed!! Keep up the healthy days-- you go girl!!

Hi,
It is wonderful to hear that Ada is in a strong remission! Tori has been in remission & off pred since end of October '08. Although, she spills sometimes when she is sick.
Good luck and keep us posted!
Jill
So glad to hear that news--hope that all continues and the rest of you are doing well.
